MARTIN –Floyd B. Martin, aged 76, died Thursday October 24, 2013 of complications following heart surgery. Floyd was a man calm at the center and generous of heart, who loved his family above all. A Farmer, Banker, Builder, Carpenter, Fixer – everything he touched he made more beautiful. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 32 years, Nancy Alexander Martin; their children, Kelli (E.J.) Merchant, Scott (Rhonda) Martin, Carrie (Stephen) Smith; grandchildren, Tara, Kasey and Derek Merchant, Clarissa, Patrick and Alexander Smith; great grandchildren, Izaick, Kelila, Mehira "Mimi", Jesse "JJ" and Carsyn; brother, Larry (Crystal) Martin; brothers-in-law, Larry Pike and Chuck Allen; many nieces & nephews; mother in law, Helen I. Alexander; and Nancy's sisters and brothers and their families. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Urias and Irene; sisters, Donna Pike and Karen Allen.

The family is grateful for the exceptional care provided by the physicians, nurses and staff of the Meijer Heart Center.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE., Belmont followed by a Memorial service at 3:00PM.
