FREDERIKSEN – Mrs. Marjorie L. Frederiksen aged 89 of Kentwood, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; sister, Ivy Cranmer; brother, Wayne Thurkettle. Surviving are her children, Tom (Shirley) Frederiksen, Beth (Bob) Christians, Jan (Joe) Maher; grandchildren, Richard (Cindi) Frederiksen, Jeremy (Jamila) Christians, Chad Christians, Julia (Mark) Nosek, Paul Maher; great grandchildren, Emma, Ryan, Zavier, Samira, Skyla and Sienna; sister, Dorothy Hovingh; several nieces and nephews. Marjorie retired from the City of Wyoming after serving many years as Deputy Treasurer. She enjoyed rug hooking, studying genealogy, and most of all her love for traveling which took her to all 50 states and several countries. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2740 Fuller Ave NE., with Pastor Kevin Sullivan officiating. Her family will greet relatives and friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. and one hour prior to the service at church.
