KONYNDYK – Mrs. Barbara Konyndyk aged 80 of Wyoming, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; parents, Ferris and Pearl Lawrence; brothers, Jim, Harry and David. Surviving are her sons, Gene Konyndyk, Mike (Linda) Konyndyk, Fred Konyndyk; granddaughters, Michele Lynn Yamazaki, Kari Anne Saganski; great grandchildren, Lillian Yamazaki, Lucas and Logan Saganski; brother, Fred (June) Lawrence; sisters, Dorothy Hatton, Mary Lou Feeback, Eleanor Nicholson, Myra Rettler; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Barb was a member of Newhall Community Church, were she enjoyed many special friendships. Barb delighted in sewing, making much of the clothing for her family and herself. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed plants and flowers both indoors and out. Barb most left her mark as a care taker. In addition to raising her three boys, as the years went on, she frequently cared for both of her granddaughters and her three great grandchildren. Her family, especially her great grand children, were the light in her life.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Newhall Community Church, 3746 Byron Center Ave. SW., with Pastor Tom Bos officiating. Her family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
