Stevens – Mr. Daniel E. Stevens aged 51, of Wyoming passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012. Dan was preceded in death by his father Jack D. Stevens. He will be missed by Sandra his wife of 29 years, along with; his daughter, Shannon Doe Kornoelje (Steve) and son, Benjamin Daniel Stevens. He will also be missed by his grandchildren; Steven, Logan, Jacob, and Nash. Also by his mother, Charlotte Stevens, brother, Keith Stevens, sisters; Linda Bossler, Jackie (Steve) Kik, Karen (Dave) Reidt; many nieces and nephews. Dan was especially close to his nephews Chad Stevens and Bill Bossler.

Dan married his bride Sandy on May 7, 1983. He retired from Steelcase after many years of service. He was known for his love of riding motorcycles, art in the form of sketching and painting, and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Dan (aka Chief) and his best friend Scott Battenfield (aka Batty) loved it when Sandy would cook them her famous Barbequed Ribs at least twice a year.

Dan had a tendency to be one of the kids. This past Christmas when everyone was trying to behave and not "bother" grandpa, he decided to start a Nerf Gun fight!

Dan really enjoyed the times he went on the motorcycle runs with Roy and the guys, including when he would take his grandson Steven on the "Tuesday Night" ice cream social run. The group would stop at a different Ice cream shops each week. One of his favorite summers was the year that he bought his bicycle and went on rides with Steve and the grand-kids. Over time they started taking some pretty long rides.

And who could forget the famous "jump rope incident"

Dan's family would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your love and support. It will be remembered and cherished.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place; family and friends will gather in the spring to reflect and share memories of times spent together.

Please take a few moments to share a memory of Dan on the Guest Book here on his memorial web site.
