Mrs. Diane P. Torres-Perreault, aged 52 of Belmont, MI went to be with the Lord November 12, 2011 after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio but lived most of her adult life in Michigan, Novi and Belmont areas.
She received a bachelor of electrical engineering from General Motors Institute (1983) and a master of science engineering from University of Michigan (1998). She was licensed as a Professional Engineer in Michigan. She worked for GM and later owned her own business JD Engineering.
Diane had a big heart and loved new experiences. She was an avid outdoors woman, gardener, Girl Scouts (Troop 530) and Boy Scouts leader, quilter and world traveler. In life, love and work, Diane gave all she could give, never settling for just good enough. She was always looking for way to improve herself and be a better person. As a result she pushed those around her to be better in their lives.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years Richard Perreault, her children Jessica Diane and David Richard, and furry family members Shelby (Dog), Bentley (Dog) and Futter (Cat).
Diane was a loving and devoted wife and very proud and active mother. Her love of life and sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Belmont with Fr. Peter Vu officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at from 6-8 pm on Thursday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont.
